An appraisal is a legal document containing the educated opinion of a Graduate Gemologist/Appraiser that states the quality and value of a gem or piece of jewellery. It is extremely important to obtain appraisals for all your precious jewellery items. A common myth is that the value at the end of the appraisal is the most important. This is false.
